Do I need permission?
“The reason my co-writers and I create these songs is so that people will hear them, use them, and enjoy them. There are very few radio stations out there to play this kind of music, so please be our DJ’s.”
~ Jana Stanfield
You have Jana’s permission to play the songs that she has written in any group setting. For extra credit, email Jana and to tell her how you’re using them and what results you’re having. We love to share that with the other songwriters on the CDs.
If you plan to use the songs in a musical recording or a spoken word audio program, we’ll be happy to make a license available. The statutory royalty rate is $.091 for every copy you sell. For every 100 copies, you’ll pay $9.10 to be split between Jana and her co-writer(s). If you’d like to add one of Jana’s songs to a compilation CD, the standard master rate is $.18 per unit. We can also make licenses available for the use of songs or song clips on your website. If you have questions, please call or email:

“When we hear nothing but the spoken word, our brain filters the message and shuts out whatever it’s not interested in. The great thing about music is that it enters our minds from a different direction. It doesn’t get caught in the ‘brain filter’ because the positive message in a song comes in through the heart.”
